Bright Leaf Fresh Sausage Pierogies (Italian Style)

Sausage is becoming a more popular dinner protein. This recipe by Bright Leaf Fan, MamaKuntry, using Bright Leaf Fresh Country Style Sausage, combines fresh and Italian flavors in a dish your family will love and crave more of!

Ingredients:

 

  • (1) 1 lb. Bright Leaf Fresh Country Style Sausage (Bulk)
  • (2) Bell Peppers
  • (1) Medium Yellow Onion
  • Italian Seasoning
  • Pierogies (quantity as desired)

Cooking Instructions:

 

  1. Brown the sausage on your griddle or pan, seasoning with Italian seasoning. Once browned, remove from the griddle and set aside.
  2. Sauté the bell peppers and onions in the sausage drippings until they start to soften.
  3. Push the veggies to the side of the griddle and add the pierogies.
  4. Cook the pierogies for 8-10 minutes per side until golden brown and done.
  5. Mix the cooked sausage, veggies, and pierogies together.
  6. Season with additional seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
